This medication is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), and periprosthetic inflammation of the scapulohumeral joint. It also helps relieve dental pain, inflammation occurring after trauma, low back pain, and sciatica. It is effectively used for pain caused by non-articular rheumatism as well. It contributes to the improvement of patients' daily lives by reducing main inflammation and pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults take 100 mg of aceclofenac twice a day every 12 hours. This medication should be taken whole and not chewed or crushed. The dosage may be adjusted appropriately based on symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, the lowest effective dose should be administered for the shortest duration.

Precautions

People who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol a day must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Those who frequently drink alcohol are at higher risk for gastrointestinal bleeding when taking this medication. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, so those with risk factors such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, or smoking should use it cautiously. It should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest period possible, and treatment effects and side effects should be monitored regularly. People with a history of ulcers or bleeding in the stomach or those with gastrointestinal diseases should not take this medication. Elderly patients are also at higher risk for gastrointestinal bleeding and need to exercise caution. This medication is not indicated for patients with certain conditions, such as severe heart failure, severely impaired kidney or liver function, pregnant women in late pregnancy, nursing mothers, or patients with bleeding disorders.
