This medication should not be administered to patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction, or perforation, as it may exacerbate the condition by stimulating gastrointestinal motility. This medication should not be used in patients with certain tumors such as pheochromocytoma, as it can induce hypertension. If there is an allergic reaction or intolerable side effects related to this medication, it should not be administered. It is safe not to use this medication in patients with epilepsy, in manic phase of bipolar disorder, or in the manic state of schizoaffective disorder. This medication should not be used in patients with malignant breast disease affecting the breasts, as it may influence hormonal secretion, potentially worsening breast issues. This medication contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with genetic disorders such as lactose intolerance or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Particular caution should be taken when prescribing this medication to patients with hypertension, children, and the elderly, especially in children where side effects may occur more readily, necessitating dose adjustments. This medication may lead to side effects such as amenorrhea, excessive milk secretion, or gynecomastia due to hormonal imbalances, so symptoms should be closely monitored. Additionally, neurological side effects such as tremors, abnormal tongue movements, and agitation may rarely occur; in such cases, usage should be immediately discontinued. Prolonged use may lead to tardive dyskinesia, manifesting as uncontrollable movements around the mouth, so caution is advised. Gastrointestinal side effects may include dry mouth, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation. Cardiac side effects such as hypertension or arrhythmias may occur, so cardiac health should be closely monitored. If severe symptoms of neuroleptic malignant syndrome, such as high fever, muscle rigidity, or altered consciousness occur during this medication, it should be immediately discontinued, and emergency treatment is required. Skin rash or swelling may occur rarely, so if these symptoms manifest, medication should be stopped. During usage, symptoms like drowsiness, dizziness, insomnia, and malaise may appear, thus it is advisable to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery. This medication may interact with other drugs, particularly anticholinergics, analgesics, digitalis preparations, and medications that prolong the QT interval, requiring caution during concurrent use. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use this medication, as its safety for the fetus or newborn has not been established. The elderly have reduced renal function, causing the drug to remain in the body longer; therefore, careful monitoring of dosage adjustments and side effects is essential. This medication has antiemetic effects, which may mask vomiting symptoms from other causes, so thorough observation of the patient's condition to identify the cause is necessary.
