This medication contains the active ingredient flurbiprofen, which may cause allergic reactions in some patients. Persons hypersensitive to this medication or similar drugs should not use it. Patients with asthma, particularly those known as aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease, may experience a heightened risk of asthma attacks when using this medication and should avoid its use. Patients with bronchial asthma should use this medication cautiously due to the possibility of inducing asthma attacks. This medication contains propylene glycol, so caution is advised in individuals allergic or hypersensitive to this component. It also contains sodium pyrosulfite, which may trigger allergic reactions or asthma attacks in some individuals, especially asthmatics. If any symptoms such as skin redness, rash, itching, or burning sensation occur while using this medication, application should be discontinued immediately. Additionally, if early symptoms of an asthma attack appear, such as shortness of breath or wheezing, use should be stopped immediately. This medication can help alleviate symptoms but is not a treatment for the underlying cause; if symptoms persist, consultation with a healthcare professional is advised. Using this medication during a skin infection may mask the infection, so it should be used with caution and under observation while treating the infection. When used for chronic conditions like degenerative arthritis, it is essential to consider other treatment options alongside medication and closely monitor the patient's condition. It is recommended not to use this medication during the early and middle stages of pregnancy unless absolutely necessary; if use is required, the dose should be lowered and the duration kept short. In the last trimester of pregnancy, this medication should not be used as it can cause issues with the fetus's heart and kidneys and increase the risk of bleeding. Its safety in children has not been adequately established, so use in this population should be avoided. In the elderly, the skin condition should be closely monitored, and it should be used with caution. This medication should not be applied to damaged skin or mucosa, areas of eczema or rash, and it is critical to clean and dry the skin before use.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
