Precautions

This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol a day, so consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. This medication can influence the cardiovascular system, increasing the risk of thrombosis, myocardial infarction, and stroke; therefore, patients with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors must be monitored closely. Serious adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation may occur, particularly in elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, who should be especially cautious and seek treatment immediately if symptoms arise. This medication may rarely cause serious allergic reactions or dermatitis; if skin rashes or mucosal damage occur, discontinuation of use should be immediate. It can affect kidney function, so patients with kidney diseases or those taking diuretics should have their renal function monitored periodically. Liver dysfunction may occur, thus patients with liver diseases should undergo regular liver function tests and discontinue use if abnormal symptoms develop. This medication should not be used during pregnancy as it may harm the fetus, and breastfeeding women should also avoid taking it. This medication may affect blood coagulation, increasing the risk of bleeding, so patients taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents need to exercise caution. Co-administration with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or aspirin can increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and cardiovascular side effects, so it is advisable to avoid such combinations. Elderly patients, having compromised renal, liver, and cardiac functions, face a higher risk of adverse reactions and should use the minimal effective dose cautiously. During treatment with this medication, symptoms such as drowsiness, dizziness, and visual disturbances may occur, thus caution is required when driving or operating machinery. In case of overdose, symptoms such as vomiting, drowsiness, gastrointestinal bleeding, and renal and liver dysfunction may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention, as there is no specific antidote and supportive therapy may be required.
