This medication is used for various arthritic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), and periartritis of the scapulohumeral joint. It is also helpful in alleviating pain from dental pain or inflammation occurring after trauma, as well as back pain and sciatica. It is effective in reducing pain due to non-articular rheumatism. By reducing various types of inflammation and pain, it makes the patients' daily lives more comfortable. Therefore, it is used in the treatment of joint and pain-related diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice a day every 12 hours. This medication should be taken whole without chewing or crushing. Adjust dosage according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions of this medication, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.

Precautions

This medication should be consulted with a doctor or pharmacist before use for individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol per day, as the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding may increase if taken by those who consume large amounts of alcohol. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Individuals with risk factors such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and smoking should carefully decide whether to use this medication. The longer the dosage and duration of use, the greater the risk, so it should be used at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration possible. This medication may cause serious gastrointestinal issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations. Especially, elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases should be more cautious, and if gastrointestinal symptoms occur during use, medical consultation should be sought immediately. Patients with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, those who have hypersensitivity to this medication or similar medications, and individuals with allergic reactions to aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should not take this medication. Patients with severe kidney or liver dysfunction, severe heart failure, pregnant women in the late stages of pregnancy, nursing mothers, and patients with inflammatory bowel disease should also avoid using this medication. Patients with kidney disorders, high blood pressure, asthma history, and elderly individuals should be particularly careful when taking this medication.
