Relief of arthritis and pain, including rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis
Used for various joint and musculoskeletal disorders including rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), shoulder periarthritis, low back pain, and sciatica.
As aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice daily every 12 hours. This medication should be taken whole without chewing or breaking. Adjust dosage as necessary according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
This medication can cause gastric bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks a day; hence, it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. Additionally, it may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, so patients with cardiovascular risk factors such as heart failure, hypertension, or diabetes should use it cautiously. This medication may cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration, and perforation; special caution is warranted for elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal disorders. Patients with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, those allergic to this drug or similar medications, patients with severe heart failure or cardiovascular diseases, and pregnant women in the late stages of pregnancy should not take this medication. Caution is necessary for patients with renal or liver impairment, the elderly, asthmatic patients, and hypertensive patients, who should regularly monitor their health status while taking this medication. This drug may cause side effects such as dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbances, elevated liver enzyme levels, and skin rashes, so immediate consultation with a doctor is advised if any abnormal symptoms occur. It is advisable for pregnant or breastfeeding women not to take this medication, especially in the late stages of pregnancy, as it may harm the fetus. Patients who are taking other medications should consult a doctor before taking this medication since there may be interactions, especially with anticoagulants, diuretics, and antidiabetic agents. Safety in children and adolescents has not been established, thus it is preferable not to use it in these populations. Elderly patients have a higher risk of side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, and should exercise more caution when taking this medication. In case of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal irritation, hypotension, respiratory depression, and convulsions may occur, and immediate medical assistance is required. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container can adversely affect its quality.
