Relief of itching and inflammation caused by corticosteroid-responsive skin diseases
This medication is used to relieve itching and inflammation caused by skin diseases that respond to corticosteroids.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area once a day and gently rub until fully absorbed. Avoid the occlusive dressing method.
This medication should not be administered to patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals, as it may worsen their symptoms. Patients with a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to this medication or its components should also not use it. Care is needed for patients with eczematous otitis externa who have a perforated eardrum, as healing may be delayed. It is advisable not to use it on patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, as skin regeneration may be inhibited, delaying healing. This medication should also not be used for patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, or pruritus around the anus or genitals. It is safe not to administer it to infants under 2 years of age. Caution and careful use are required for pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, young children, and the elderly, particularly if there is an allergy to propylene glycol. This medication may worsen skin infections; hence, it should be used in conjunction with appropriate antimicrobial or antifungal agents or avoided in cases of concomitant dermatitis. Prolonged or widespread use may lead to systemic absorption of corticosteroids, potentially suppressing hormonal function, necessitating regular check-ups. If any unusual symptoms such as rashes, itching, irritation, or pustules occur during use, discontinue immediately. Care should be taken when using around the eyes, as there is a risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma, and if visual disturbances such as blurriness occur, an ophthalmologist should be consulted. Pregnant and nursing women should avoid large or long-term use of this medication, and it should only be used when absolutely necessary as its safety has not been established. Children may absorb more of the medication relative to body surface area, increasing the risk of side effects, so avoid continuous use for more than 3 weeks. The elderly may show side effects more easily, hence careful observation is required when used over long periods or widely. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes, nor should it be used after makeup or shaving for non-treatment purposes. The occlusive dressing method should be performed only under the supervision of a physician, and the affected area must be cleaned before use. Keep out of reach of children.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
Store this medication in a tightly sealed container to prevent air or moisture ingress. It is advisable to maintain storage temperatures between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
