How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice a day every 12 hours. This medication is to be taken whole and not chewed or crushed. Adjust according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, this medication should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Precautions

This medication should be used with caution in individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily, as they are at a higher risk of gastrointestinal bleeding; consultation with a physician or pharmacist is mandatory. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, so patients with cardiovascular risk factors like hypertension, diabetes, and smoking should be administered with caution. The longer the duration and the higher the dosage, the greater the risk of cardiovascular side effects, so it should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible. Serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, may occur, so special care is required, particularly for elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal disorders. Patients with a history of active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding, or those allergic to this medication or similar drugs should not be administered. Patients with a history of asthma or allergic reactions may experience serious anaphylactic reactions, so they should avoid this medication. It is also safer for patients with heart failure, severe kidney or liver dysfunction, pregnant women in late pregnancy, nursing mothers, and patients with inflammatory bowel disease to avoid using this medication. Patients with decreased renal function, hypertension, elderly patients, and those with asthma should be particularly cautious when using this medication and regularly check their condition as per the doctor's instructions. Various side effects such as dizziness, liver function abnormalities, rash, gastrointestinal disorders, and blood abnormalities may appear during use, so if any symptoms occur, notify the healthcare provider immediately. This medication may raise blood pressure or exacerbate heart failure, so hypertensive or heart failure patients must closely monitor their blood pressure and condition during use. During pregnancy, especially in late pregnancy, it may harm the fetus, thus women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should avoid taking it. Due to numerous interactions with other medications, patients taking other drugs such as digoxin, anticoagulants, diabetic medications, diuretics, lithium, and methotrexate should consult a physician before using this medication. It is recommended not to use this medication in children and adolescents as its safety and efficacy have not been established. For safety, avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery while taking this medication, and store it out of reach of children.
