Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals as it may worsen symptoms. Additionally, it should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to this drug or its components, patients with otitis externa with perforated tympanic membranes, patients with ulcers or severe burns, perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, patients with anal or genital itching, and in infants under 2 years old. Pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, children, the elderly, and patients allergic to the propylene glycol component in this drug should use it with caution. Skin infections can occur while using this medication, and various skin problems such as folliculitis, skin irritation, rashes, itching, and skin dryness may arise; thus, use should be discontinued if symptoms occur. Prolonged use may lead to thinning skin or vasodilation, and side effects such as acne or dermatitis may appear. Furthermore, as this drug contains corticosteroids, extensive or prolonged use may affect the hormonal balance in the body, necessitating regular checkups. If used around the eyes, caution should be exercised as it may increase intraocular pressure or lead to eye diseases such as glaucoma. Generally, it should not be used for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections; however, if it must be used, it is advisable to use it in conjunction with antibiotics or antifungal agents. As soon as symptoms improve, discontinue use as soon as possible, and if symptoms worsen, immediately stop using it. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, the necessity and risks should be carefully considered before use, and particularly prolonged or large amounts should be avoided. In children, absorption into the body can occur more readily, increasing the risk of side effects, so care should be taken not to use it for more than three weeks. The elderly may also exhibit side effects more readily, so it is important to observe while using. This drug should not be used for ophthalmic purposes, and should not be used for purposes other than treatment such as after makeup or shaving, and when using occlusive dressings, follow the physician's instructions.
