Administer 100 mg of Rebamipide orally three times a day. However, in the case of gastric ulcers, it should be taken in the morning, evening, and before bedtime.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have had an allergic reaction to any of its ingredients. During the course of taking this medication, serious allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may rarely occur; therefore, careful monitoring is required. If these symptoms occur, immediately discontinue the medication and seek appropriate treatment. It is important to regularly check blood status, as there may be a decrease in white blood cells or platelets. Liver function tests may also be necessary due to potential liver function issues. If skin hypersensitivity reactions such as urticaria, rash, or pruritus occur, the medication should be discontinued. This medication may cause neurological symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, and numbness, so care should be taken when driving or operating machinery. Gastrointestinal side effects may include dry mouth, constipation, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, belching, and taste disturbances. If liver enzyme levels rise abnormally or if fever and rash accompany, the medication should be discontinued immediately and a doctor should be consulted. Blood-related issues may lead to decreased platelets and changes in white blood cells, so regular blood tests are recommended. Other symptoms such as breast pain, palpitations, fever, facial flushing, tongue numbness, cough, shortness of breath, hair loss, menstrual irregularities, edema, and foreign body sensation in the throat may also occur. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should use this medication only when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks due to safety concerns. Women who are breastfeeding should avoid this medication as it may be passed through breast milk. Caution should be exercised as the safety in children, particularly in low-birth-weight infants, neonates, toddlers, and children, has not been adequately established. Elderly individuals may have decreased bodily functions and should be more cautious regarding the occurrence of side effects, such as gastrointestinal symptoms. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and care should be taken not to transfer it to other containers, as this may cause accidents or adversely affect the quality of the medication.
