This medication is used to relieve pain and symptoms of dyspepsia, nausea, and vomiting associated with gastrointestinal disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux, gastric ulcer, and duodenal ulcer. It also improves symptoms of functional bowel disorders like irritable bowel syndrome and spastic colon, and is effective for habitual vomiting in infants. Furthermore, it alleviates diarrhea and constipation caused by non-infectious bowel dysfunction and symptoms of intestinal obstruction that may occur after gastrointestinal surgery. Additionally, it helps to relax the pylorus and spastic colon during X-ray and endoscopic examinations. Precautions

This medication should be avoided during the first three months of pregnancy and in nursing mothers as its safety has not been fully established. In addition, this medication contains a dye called Yellow No. 4, so individuals with a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to this component should take special care when taking it. Rarely, symptoms such as fatigue or a feeling of warmth, coldness may occur while taking this medication. Also, mild gastrointestinal symptoms like diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, constipation, and dyspepsia may occur, and some may experience slight drowsiness or dizziness.
