While taking this medication, symptoms such as weakness, unsteadiness, or drowsiness may occur; therefore, if these symptoms are present, the dose should be reduced or administration should be stopped. This medication may cause circadian rhythm disturbances when used with similar drugs, so caution is advised during co-administration. During pregnancy, safety is not established; thus, in women who could become pregnant, it should be administered only when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks. If breastfeeding, it is preferable to avoid administration, and if unavoidable, it is advised to discontinue breastfeeding. In children, safety has not been adequately confirmed, and there is limited experience in usage, so caution is necessary. In the elderly, considering the decline in physical functions, careful usage is required, such as reducing the dose of the medication.
