Antihypertensive effect
This medication is primarily used for hypertension.
For adults, take 1 tablet orally once daily. In case of renal impairment, the dosage should be reduced or the dosing interval extended. Based on creatinine clearance, administer 50 mg per day or 50 mg every other day. Adjust according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be administered to patients with an allergy to specific components or sulfonamide medications. It should also not be used in patients with extremely slow heartbeats, heart conduction disorders, cardiogenic shock, or very low blood pressure. Contraindications apply to patients with metabolic acidosis, severe peripheral arterial circulation disorders, syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion, patients with difficult-to-control heart failure, and those with anuria. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are advised not to use this medication. In well-controlled heart failure patients, it should be administered with caution, and patients with a history of obstructive airway disease or asthma should consult a physician before use. Patients with severely impaired liver or kidney function and those with electrolyte imbalances also require caution. If symptoms of excessively slow heart rate or excessively low blood pressure occur during use, consult a physician immediately. This medication can lower blood potassium levels, so elderly patients with heart or gastrointestinal diseases should undergo regular blood tests. Rare side effects such as dizziness, headache, fatigue, gastrointestinal disturbances, and skin rashes may occur, and any abnormal symptoms should be reported to healthcare providers immediately. Furthermore, there may be interactions when taken with other medications, so if any other medications are being taken, be sure to inform healthcare providers. There may be dizziness or fatigue when driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. In case of an overdose, heart rate may slow excessively, or blood pressure may drop sharply, so the dosage should be strictly adhered to, and immediate hospital visit is necessary if abnormal symptoms occur. The safety of this medication in children has not been established, so it is advisable not to use it.
Hyperuricemia, hypokalemia, lactose intolerance, hyponatremia, worsening of heart failure, orthostatic hypotension, chills, intermittent claudication, Raynaud's phenomenon, confusion, dizziness, headache, mood changes, nightmares, psychosis, hallucinations, sleep disturbances, thirst, nausea, gastrointestinal disturbances, elevation of transaminase levels, liver toxicity including intrahepatic cholestasis, pancreatitis, leukopenia, purpura, thrombocytopenia, sensory disturbances, cold extremities, visual disturbances, hair loss, dry eyes

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to protect it from light and air. It is best to maintain room temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius.
