Epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva may occur due to endogenous conditions such as Sjögren's syndrome, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and dry eye syndrome, or due to exogenous causes such as post-surgery, drug side effects, trauma, and contact lens wear. This medication is used to relieve symptoms and promote recovery from conjunctival epithelial disorders caused by these various factors.

How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

0.1%, 0.3%: Instill 1 drop 5 to 6 times a day. Adjust the dosage according to the symptoms. Usually, the 0.1% preparation is administered, and if it is insufficient for severe diseases, the 0.3% preparation is administered.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have hypersensitivity to protein-based drugs or this drug's components. Symptoms such as itching, irritation, redness, conjunctivitis, corneal disorders, and a foreign body sensation may occur. If such symptoms arise, use should be stopped immediately and appropriate measures should be taken. Furthermore, hypersensitivity reactions such as eyelid inflammation or dermatitis may occur, so if similar symptoms are experienced, the use should be stopped and a doctor should be consulted. When using with other eye drops, they should be separated by about 30 minutes, and simultaneous use should be avoided. This product is an eye drop intended only for use in the eyes, and care should be taken to prevent the tip of the container from coming into contact with the eyelid or eyelashes. If the container tip touches, the solution may become contaminated or cloudy; therefore, do not use a cloudy solution. The preservative benzalkonium chloride may adhere to soft contact lenses, so it should not be used while wearing lenses and lenses should be worn only after at least 15 minutes after use. Single-use products must be used within 12 hours of opening, and any remaining medication should not be reused. Keep out of reach of children, store away from direct sunlight, and in a cool place. To maintain quality, do not transfer to another container, and it is advisable to avoid sharing to prevent contamination.
