This medication is used to treat epithelial damage of the conjunctiva caused by endogenous diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, dry eye syndrome, as well as exogenous epithelial damage occurring after surgery, as a drug side effect, trauma, or contact lens wear.

How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

1 drop of 0.1% or 0.3% preparation is instilled 5 to 6 times a day. Adjust accordingly based on symptoms. Usually, the 0.1% preparation is administered, and if the effect is insufficient in severe conditions, the 0.3% preparation is administered. Discard any remaining solution and container immediately after use (for single-use products).

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with a known allergy to protein-based medications. Symptoms such as itching, irritation, congestion, conjunctivitis, corneal damage, and foreign body sensation may occur, and rarely, discharge or pain may develop. If any of these symptoms occur, use should be stopped immediately and appropriate treatment should be sought. Occasionally, eyelid inflammation or dermatitis may occur, so if these symptoms arise, application should also be stopped and treatment should be sought. When used in combination with other eye drops, adverse reactions may increase, so do not use this medication simultaneously with other eye drops; wait at least 30 minutes between applications. The phosphate ingredients included in this medication may rarely cause corneal calcification, therefore caution is advised for patients with severe corneal damage. For ophthalmic use only, and care must be taken to avoid contact of the tip of the container with the eyelid or eyelashes. Do not use this medication while wearing soft contact lenses, and wait at least 15 minutes after application before putting on lenses. For single-use products, discard the first 1-2 drops before use, and any remaining solution should be discarded immediately after opening. Do not share with others, and keep the container clean to prevent contamination. Store out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool place. To maintain quality, do not transfer the medication to a different container.

Single-use products are designed for one-time use only, and when storing, keep them in a dark place that can block light.
