Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients receiving treatment for blood disorders, kidney or liver diseases, gastric and duodenal diseases, asthma, or autoimmune diseases such as rheumatism. This is because it may cause changes in blood cell counts, such as leukopenia or thrombocytopenia. Moreover, caution is needed when taken with steroids, antibiotics, antineoplastics, and certain antifungals. Taking this medication concurrently with similar drugs may exacerbate side effects. Patients with a history of blood dyscrasias such as erythrocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia should be cautious as this medication may further decrease blood cell counts. People with hypersensitivity to histamine H2 receptor antagonists should not take this medication. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently established in children, particularly those under 15 years of age, and in elderly individuals over 80 years. In the elderly, kidney function may be reduced, leading to increased potency, so caution is warranted. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as breastfeeding women, need special attention when taking this medication. As this medication can be transmitted through breast milk, it should be avoided during breastfeeding or breastfeeding should be discontinued. Patients receiving dialysis must consult with their healthcare providers before taking this medication. Patients taking other medications or under medical care should be cautious about possible drug interactions that may cause side effects or reduce the efficacy of treatment. Individuals with a history of drug allergies and elderly patients over 65 years of age should also exercise caution due to individual variability. Patients with symptoms such as sore throat, cough, or high fever may face the possibility of serious infections. Consult with healthcare providers before taking this medication, as these symptoms may worsen or mask side effects. If unexplained weight loss or ongoing abdominal pain occurs, consult healthcare providers before taking this medication as other conditions may be present. This medication contains colorants Yellow No. 4 and Yellow No. 5, so those with allergies or hypersensitivity to these ingredients should use it with caution. If symptoms such as rash, itching, swelling, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, or muscle pain appear during the course of treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. If symptoms like chest tightness, pallor, cold extremities, cold sweat, or difficulty breathing appear, urgent action is required. If high fever is accompanied by severe skin rash or blistering, sore throat, tendency to bleed, or jaundice, notify healthcare providers immediately. If symptoms do not improve after three days of use, other conditions may be present; stop taking the medication and consult a doctor. Do not use for longer than two weeks, and avoid alcoholic beverages during treatment. Do not exceed the prescribed dose, and this medication should not be used for other symptoms.
