For example, people allergic to this medication or its components, those with thyroid function issues, patients with impaired kidney function, newborns and infants under 6 months of age, individuals with certain dermatitis conditions, and those who are undergoing radioactive iodine treatment should avoid using this medication. Additionally, patients who are severely ill or have a history of thyroid disorders or kidney problems should use caution when using this medication. Rarely, allergic reactions may occur while using this medication, and if symptoms such as difficulty breathing or skin rash develop, use should be stopped immediately. Skin pain, itching, irritation, or rashes may occur, and in severe cases, it is best to discontinue use. When used in large quantities for burn treatment, it may lead to electrolyte imbalances or kidney dysfunction, so caution is advised. Long-term use may lead to changes in thyroid function and can affect blood test results. Using large amounts or applying it repeatedly to extensive wounds may lead to systemic side effects such as a metallic taste or pain and swelling in the throat and mouth. If used right before delivery, ensure to clean and bathe the newborn to remove any residual medication. This medication is a conservative treatment method, and if symptoms do not improve, surgical treatment should be considered. When used for extensive burn patients, adequate hydration and monitoring of renal function and metabolic status is essential, and use should be discontinued if any abnormalities occur. This medication may affect thyroid diagnostic tests, so there should be a period gap between testing and administration, and attention should be paid to changes in thyroid function. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid using this medication for extended periods or extensively, as it may affect the thyroid function of the fetus or newborn. If absorbed, this medication may interfere with thyroid function test results, so this should be noted. In case of an overdose, symptoms such as abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, or coma may occur, and appropriate detoxification and symptomatic treatment will be necessary. Care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes, and it should not be mixed with other medications. It is recommended to clean the affected area thoroughly before use, and if it contacts clothing, it should be washed immediately. Store away from direct sunlight, and be cautious as metal containers can corrode.
