Improvement of epithelial damage of the conjunctiva (endogenous and exogenous)
This medication is used for epithelial damage of the conjunctiva caused by endogenous diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome, mucous membrane pemphigoid syndrome, and dry eye syndrome, as well as exogenous diseases related to post-surgery, drug side effects, trauma, and contact lens wear.
0.1%, 0.3%: Instill 1 drop 5 to 6 times a day. Adjust dosage as appropriate based on symptoms. Generally, the 0.1% preparation is administered, and if the effect is insufficient in severe cases, the 0.3% preparation is given.
This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to any component or protein-based medications. Symptoms such as itching, irritation, congestion, conjunctivitis, corneal impairment, and foreign body sensation may occur, and rarely, discharge or pain may arise. If such symptoms occur, stop use and seek appropriate treatment. Occasionally, eyelid inflammation or dermatitis may occur, so if these symptoms appear, stop the medication and consult a doctor. This medication may have increased side effects when used in conjunction with steroids, dry eye treatments, antibiotics, glaucoma medications, antihistamines, cataract medications, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, so caution is needed. This medication contains phosphates, which may rarely cause calcification in the cornea in patients with severe corneal damage, thus requiring caution. Do not use this medication simultaneously with other eye drops. If it is essential to use it together, administer other eye drops first and wait about 30 minutes before using this medication. As this medication is intended for direct application to the eyes, it should not be used for any other purpose. Take care to avoid contact between the tip of the container and the eyelids or eyelashes. If the container becomes contaminated, the medication may become dirty, so it should be kept clean. Do not use this medication while wearing soft contact lenses, and lenses may be reinserted at least 15 minutes after instillation. For single-use products, use within 12 hours after opening, and do not reuse any opened container. Additionally, discard the first 1-2 drops upon opening. To prevent medication contamination, it is advisable not to share it with others. Store out of reach of children, in a cool place away from direct sunlight, and do not transfer to another container to maintain quality.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it should be stored in a sealed container. Additionally, it is safe to store the medication at room temperature, which should not be too hot or too cold, specifically between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. Proper storage will help maintain the medication's effectiveness for a long time.
