Precautions

This drug should not be used by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. It should be avoided in patients with significantly decreased cardiac function or certain heart valve diseases. Patients with severely impaired liver or kidney function should also refrain from using this medication. Additionally, patients who have had an allergic reaction to this drug should not take it. Elderly patients or those with heart failure and low blood pressure should use this drug with extra caution and closely monitor for symptom exacerbation or side effect occurrence. When first taking the medication or increasing the dose, symptoms such as facial flushing, headache, palpitations, dizziness, and fatigue may occur. Most of these symptoms will naturally subside over time. As this medication lowers blood pressure, suddenly discontinuing it may worsen symptoms, so the dosage should be gradually reduced as directed by a physician. During treatment, it is advisable to avoid dangerous activities such as working at heights or driving due to potential dizziness. It is recommended to take this medication in the morning on an empty stomach or after a light meal. When taken in conjunction with other antihypertensive medications, certain antibiotics, antifungals, anticonvulsants, etc., interactions may occur, so consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is necessary. In particular, taking it with grapefruit juice can enhance the effect of the medication, so it is safer to avoid consuming them together. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not use this medication, and if unavoidable, breastfeeding should be discontinued. Safety in children has not been established, so it is preferable not to use it in pediatrics. In cases of overdose, blood pressure may drop drastically, so seek immediate medical attention for appropriate treatment.
