Toothache caused by stomach heat is a symptom resulting from heat rising from the stomach's interior to the upper part of the body. This type of toothache is often accompanied by a hot or dry mouth, as well as inflammation and pain. This medication helps alleviate symptoms of stomach heat, reduce toothache, and improve discomfort in the oral cavity. It is used to restore gastric health and relieve tooth pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, adults should take 1 packet (single dose) 3 times a day before meals or between meals.

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by newborns, nursing mothers, pregnant women, or women who may become pregnant. This is due to the risk of miscarriage or preterm labor associated with the ingredients Coptis and Moutan root contained in this medication. Additionally, it contains lactose, so patients with genetic disorders such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medication. Individuals with hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, or edema must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Elderly individuals should also exercise caution as their physical functions may be generally reduced, requiring dosage adjustments. Patients currently taking other medications or those with weak digestive systems, as well as those experiencing loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting symptoms, should consult a professional before taking this medication. This is important as these symptoms could worsen. If symptoms such as decreased urination, swelling of the face and hands, increased blood pressure, headaches, weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and a professional consulted. Furthermore, if loss of appetite, gastric discomfort, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea persists, or if symptoms do not improve after several days, it is necessary to stop taking the medication and seek consultation. It is advised not to take this medication for a prolonged period, and if long-term use is unavoidable, a consultation with a professional is mandatory. The prescribed method and dosage must be strictly adhered to, and caution is required when taking it alongside potassium-containing preparations, licorice-containing preparations, or certain diuretics, as these may lead to aldosteronism or hypokalemia. When taking this with other herbal medicines, care should be taken to avoid overlapping herbal ingredients, and prolonged use beyond one week is not recommended. When storing, avoid direct sunlight and keep in a cool, dry place, ensuring the container is tightly closed after use. Store out of reach of children, and it is safer not to transfer the medication to another container.
