Cardiovascular side effects such as palpitations or hypotension may be experienced, and atrial fibrillation may temporarily occur in patients with hypertension. In cases of overdose, one should be cautious of loss of consciousness due to cardiac arrest, complete heart block, respiratory distress, orthostatic hypotension, involuntary bowel movements, and sudden urgency to urinate.
