Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with certain skin infections. For example, bacterial infections such as tuberculosis and syphilis, fungal infections such as candidiasis and ringworm, and viral infections such as shingles, herpes simplex, and chickenpox, as well as skin infections caused by animals such as scabies or lice may worsen symptoms and should not be treated with this medication. Patients with a history of allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients should also avoid use. This medication should be avoided in patients with external otitis and tympanic membrane perforation, as it may delay wound healing. It should not be used in patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite as it may hinder skin regeneration. Patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, or itching around the anus and genitals should also avoid use. It is not safe for children under 2 years of age. Caution should be exercised when used in pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, children, and the elderly. Long-term use of this medication may lead to various skin adverse reactions such as infections, irritation, rashes, and itching, so use should be discontinued if symptoms occur. Additionally, long-term use may cause skin thinning or vascular dilation, necessitating gradual reduction in use or switching to another medication. This medication is a corticosteroid and may affect hormonal functions if absorbed systemically, so caution is needed when used extensively or with occlusive dressings. When used around the eyes, caution is necessary as it may lead to elevated intraocular pressure or glaucoma. Generally, this medication should not be used with eczemas or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections; however, if it must be used, it is advisable to combine it with antibacterial or antifungal agents. Use should be discontinued as soon as symptoms improve. In pregnant or nursing women, the use of this medication can affect the fetus or baby, so it should be used only after consulting a physician. In children, the larger skin surface area relative to weight increases the risk of side effects, so continuous use for more than 3 weeks is not safe. The elderly may also experience more side effects, so careful observation is required during use. This medication is not for ophthalmic use and should not be used for purposes other than treatment after makeup or shaving. When using occlusive dressings, follow the physician's instructions and keep the affected area clean to reduce the risk of infection. Finally, keep this medication out of reach of children to prevent safety accidents.
