View approved original text

This drug inhibits thrombus formation in major cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, and unstable angina, helping to maintain blood flow. It also contributes to the prevention of complications by inhibiting thrombus formation after coronary artery bypass grafting or percutaneous coronary intervention. It effectively reduces cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients, such as those with a family history of ischemic heart disease or multiple risk factors like hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, obesity, and diabetes. This drug is effective in the prevention and treatment of thrombus-related cardiovascular diseases.

Individuals who regularly consume three or more drinks of alcohol per day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication, as there is a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding associated with this drug. This drug is contraindicated in certain patients. For example, individuals allergic to this drug or other salicylates, patients with peptic ulcers, aspirin-induced asthma, hemophilia, those with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart failure, those with bleeding tendencies, patients currently taking high doses of methotrexate, and pregnant women in their third trimester should not take this medication. Additionally, those with kidney or liver dysfunction, cardiovascular diseases, blood disorders, bronchial asthma, patients prior to surgery, children under 3 years, patients with a history of allergies, the elderly, those on anticoagulants, and patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency should use this drug with caution. Particularly, patients with G6PD deficiency are at risk for hemolytic anemia, so caution is required. During the use of this drug, symptoms such as shock, anaphylaxis, hypersensitivity, skin rashes, blood disorders, gastrointestinal symptoms (such as abdominal pain and vomiting), neurological symptoms (such as dizziness and headaches), liver impairment, and kidney impairment may occur. If any abnormal symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. In children under 14 years with chickenpox or influenza, this drug should be administered with caution, and their condition should be closely monitored after administration. When used for chronic or acute conditions, regular examinations should be conducted to identify adverse reactions, and dosage adjustments or discontinuation should be considered as necessary. This drug may increase the risk of bleeding by inhibiting platelet aggregation, so extra caution is needed before and after surgery, and if bleeding symptoms arise, consultation with a physician is essential. This drug may interact with other medications, particularly anticoagulants, thrombolytics, diabetes treatments, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen, methotrexate, lithium, and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), so consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary. During pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, this drug should not be taken; in the first and second trimesters, it should only be used if absolutely necessary, limited to the minimum dosage and duration. Breastfeeding women are also advised against using this drug. The elderly may experience adverse reactions more easily, so they should start with a low dose and monitor their condition closely during use. This drug comes in an enteric-coated form, so care should be taken not to damage the enteric coating, and it is advisable not to take it with certain alkalizing agents. Lastly, this drug should be stored out of reach of children, kept in its original container, and transferring it to another container may pose risks of degradation or misuse.
