Treatment of dermatophyte infections (athlete's foot, body tinea, etc.), tinea versicolor, and candidiasis.
This medication is effective for the treatment of athlete's foot, tinea cruris (jock itch), and body tinea caused primarily by fungi such as Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton. It is also used for tinea versicolor caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare and skin candidiasis. This drug helps improve various symptoms of fungal infections and aids in restoring skin health.
Apply 1 to 2 times a day to the affected area. Treatment durations based on the disease are as follows: 1. Athlete's foot: once daily for 1 week Interdigital athlete's foot: twice daily for 1 week Plantar athlete's foot: twice daily for 2 weeks 2. Body tinea, tinea cruris: 1 to 2 weeks 3. Skin candidiasis: 1 to 2 weeks 4. Tinea versicolor: 2 weeks If there is no improvement in symptoms after the treatment period, re-evaluation is necessary.
This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this medication or have had hypersensitivity reactions to its components. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as well as nursing women, are advised not to use this medication. Additionally, this medication should not be used in children. If any symptoms such as rashes, hives, redness, itching, or irritation appear while using this medication, usage should be immediately stopped and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. It is helpful to bring the medication leaflet when consulting at this time. When using this medication, do not use occlusive dressings or packaging methods without a doctor's instruction, and if therapeutic effects do not appear, tests should be conducted to check for other infections. If there is a candidiasis infection, it is advisable to avoid using acidic soap. If there are wounds on the skin or it is to be applied over a large area, and when applying to infants, caution is required as this medication may be absorbed into the body. If this medication is accidentally ingested, activated charcoal should be administered to remove the active ingredient, and symptomatic treatment should be provided if necessary. This medication is for external use only and should not be applied to the eyes, nails, scalp, around the mouth, or genital area. Particularly, if it gets into the eyes, irritation may occur, and it should be thoroughly washed out with water. Animal studies have reported that this medication may cause mild toxicity to the skin due to light exposure, so it is advisable to be cautious about sun exposure. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored tightly closed in its original container to maintain quality. Finally, patients who are allergic or hypersensitive to the ingredient propylene glycol included in this medication should use it with caution.
