Precautions

This medication may cause orthostatic hypotension, leading to dizziness or fainting when first taken or when increasing dosage. Therefore, it is important to start with a low dose and increase gradually. This medication may cause a rare side effect called priapism, which can lead to permanent erectile dysfunction if not treated, so caution is advised. Patients with hypersensitivity to this medication, those with leukopenia, hypotension, and children under 12 years old should not take it. Caution should be exercised when administering to patients with impaired liver function, and blood tests should monitor leukocyte counts during treatment. Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nausea, palpitations, rash, and other adverse reactions may occur, so if symptoms are severe, consult a physician. When taking this medication, be careful to stand up slowly, and if severe dizziness occurs, lie down for safety. Moreover, taking this medication with certain antihypertensive drugs or erectile dysfunction treatment medications (PDE-5 inhibitors) may increase the risk of hypotension, so consult a physician. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should only use this medication cautiously if necessary, and if breastfeeding, should either avoid taking it or stop breastfeeding. Caution should be exercised in children and the elderly due to insufficient safety verification or higher risk of side effects. In case of overdose, severe hypotension may occur, and immediate lying down and appropriate treatment at a medical institution should be sought. Lastly, it is important to store this medication out of the reach of children and not to transfer it to other containers to maintain safety and quality.
