Improvement of symptoms of periodontitis (chronic marginal periodontitis)
MinoCycline Hydrochloride is effective against several bacteria including Porphyromonas gingivalis, Prevotella intermedia, Prevotella melaninogenicus, Eikenella corrodens, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Capnocytophaga spp., and Haemophilus actinomycetemcomitans, effectively improving the symptoms of chronic marginal periodontitis. This medication helps reduce inflammation and swelling caused by periodontitis and aids in restoring gum health. It inhibits the bacteria in the patient’s oral cavity, preventing disease progression and promoting healing of the gum tissue.
Typically, sufficient quantities are injected into the periodontal pocket once a week.
This medication should not be used by patients with hypersensitivity to tetracycline antibiotics. If any allergic symptoms or hypersensitivity reactions occur while using this medication, it should be discontinued immediately. Additionally, long-term use of this medication may lead to antibiotic resistance, so it is advisable not to continue use if symptoms do not improve. During use, careful observation is required for any signs of allergy, such as itching, redness, swelling, or blisters. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication cautiously and only when the benefits outweigh the risks. Safety in pediatric patients has not been adequately established, therefore special caution should be exercised when using it in children. This medication is for dental use only, and it is recommended to perform oral hygiene care such as tartar removal before use. When administering the medication, it should be injected deeply into the periodontal pocket, and after injection, it is important to avoid rinsing vigorously or eating. Temporary pain or irritation may be felt during use, so caution is necessary. Finally, keep this medication out of the reach of children.
