This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to quinolone antibiotics or have a history of hypersensitivity. If you experience nausea, a sensation of coldness in the hands and feet, difficulty breathing, or shock symptoms while using this medication, you should immediately stop using it and receive appropriate treatment at a hospital. Additionally, if symptoms such as cardiovascular collapse, loss of consciousness, swelling of the face or neck, or difficulty breathing, rash, or itching occur, you should discontinue the use of the medication. You may experience temporary warmth or irritation, discomfort, pain, redness, itching, or increased tearing in the eyes; in severe cases, serious skin and eye conditions such as keratitis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome may occur, so you should stop using the medication immediately if these symptoms appear. Occasionally, symptoms such as hearing loss or irritation may occur, so attention is needed for these symptoms as well. Prolonged use of this medication may lead to excessive proliferation of fungi or resistant organisms, so sensitivity to infectious organisms should be checked, and it should only be used for the minimum necessary duration. It is not definitively effective against infections caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), so in such cases, it should be swiftly replaced with another antibiotic. For pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, the use of this medication has not been confirmed to be safe, so it should only be used when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks. Lactating women should stop breastfeeding or discontinue the use of this medication if they take it. Its safety and efficacy have not been established for infants under one year of age, thus it should be avoided in this age group. This medication is an eye drop intended solely for use in the eye, so it should not be used on other areas of the body.
