Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to amide-type local anesthetics or allergies to cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, and should not be used in children under 4 years of age. Excessive use of this medication or inadvertent intravenous injection may lead to abnormal symptoms in the central nervous system. For example, symptoms such as heightened nervousness, excitement, yawning, tremors, anxiety, eye twitching, hand and foot tremors, nausea, and tinnitus may appear. If such symptoms occur, continuous monitoring of the patient's condition is necessary. Additionally, rapid or difficult breathing may occur, heart rate may increase, blood pressure may fluctuate, and there is a risk of cardiac arrest, so caution is advised. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should only use this medication when the benefits of treatment are deemed greater than the risks, as its safety has not been sufficiently established and it may pass into breast milk. Athletes should be cautious as the components of this medication may lead to a positive reaction in doping tests. When using, any excess medication left on the mucosa after application should be cleaned away with another tool to prevent swallowing, and caution should be taken when applying it to areas with wounds on the lips, cheeks, or tongue, as the medication may be absorbed quickly, increasing the risk of side effects.
