Relief of inflammation and pain in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease)
This medication is effective in treating rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, tendonitis, acute gout, and dysmenorrhea. It is also widely used for bursitis, skeletal muscle disorders (sprains, strains, trauma, low back pain), postoperative pain, migraine, and pain after tooth extraction. It helps relieve various joint and muscle-related inflammation and pain and is very useful for treating pain and inflammation in joints and soft tissues.
1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: Administer 275-550 mg of naproxen sodium orally twice a day (every 12 hours). 2. Acute gout: Initially, take 825 mg orally and continue with 275 mg orally every 8 hours until the attack subsides. 3. Skeletal muscle disorders, postoperative pain, pain after tooth extraction, dysmenorrhea, tendonitis, bursitis: Initially, take 550 mg orally.
This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks per day, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. Patients with or at risk for cardiovascular disease may be at increased risk for serious cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke while taking this medication, requiring close monitoring by a physician. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, and caution is especially needed in the elderly or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers, severe blood abnormalities, liver impairment, cardiac failure, kidney dysfunction, hypertension, or allergies to this medication's ingredients should not take this medication. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers or blood abnormalities, bleeding tendencies, liver failure, kidney dysfunction, heart failure, hypertension, a history of allergies, asthma, autoimmune diseases, the elderly should take this medication with caution. This medication may cause various side effects including allergic reactions, gastrointestinal bleeding, blood disorders, liver and kidney dysfunction, neurological disorders, and skin rashes, so if unusual symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. This medication should only be taken at the minimum effective dose and for the shortest duration necessary, and regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests are needed when used for chronic conditions. Taking this medication concurrently with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or specific medications may increase the risk of side effects, so inform your doctor or pharmacist of any other medications you are taking. This medication should not be taken during pregnancy, especially in the late stages, and women who may become pregnant should judge the necessity of taking it carefully before use. This medication is excreted in breast milk and may cause side effects in infants; therefore, nursing mothers should not take it. It is advisable to avoid administering this medication to infants under 2 years of age as safety has not been established, and children and the elderly should take it cautiously at the minimum dosage. In case of overdose, symptoms such as drowsiness, dyspepsia, nausea, and vomiting may occur, so if these symptoms appear, visit a medical facility immediately. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be transferred to another container.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweats, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory distress accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), marked lethargy, sudden and severe headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, markedly reduced urine output

This medication should not be taken with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and naproxen derivatives, aspirin, or high doses of methotrexate. Phenytoin-based antiepileptics, sulfonamides, sulfonylurea-based hypoglycemics, propranolol and other beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors (such as captopril), loop diuretics and thiazide diuretics, probenecid, lithium, low-dose methotrexate, and coumarin-based anticoagulants (such as warfarin) should be avoided.
This medication may be sensitive to air and moisture, so it must be stored in a tightly closed container. It is recommended to maintain a storage temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
