Adult dose
As terbinafine, administer 125 mg once, twice daily or 250 mg once daily. The duration of treatment varies by condition: 1) Dermatophytosis - Tinea pedis (interdigital type, plantar type/moccasin type): 2 to 6 weeks - Tinea corporis: 2 to 4 weeks - Tinea cruris (jock itch): 2 to 4 weeks 2) Onychomycosis - Generally administered for 6 weeks to 3 months. This medication is used in adults to treat tinea pedis, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and onychomycosis caused by dermatophyte fungi. It is also used in children for the treatment of tinea capitis.

How to take

Adult dose

As terbinafine, administer 125 mg once, twice daily or 250 mg once daily. This medication is not recommended for patients with chronic liver disease or active liver disease. The patient's liver health should be assessed before prescribing, and regular liver function tests should be performed. Hives, facial swelling, angioedema, severe swelling (edema), tightness in the chest, shortness of breath, chest pressure, anaphylactic reaction, severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, mucosal membrane syndrome), severe rash with high fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, liver failure, hepatitis, cholestasis, jaundice, rhabdomyolysis due to kidney function deterioration, thrombocytopenia, pancytopenia, and anosmia.

Mild side effects

Rash, itching, fever, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fatigue, musculoskeletal reactions (joint pain, muscle pain), weakness, headache, taste disturbance, dizziness, drowsiness, sensory disturbances, sensory loss, decreased attention, insomnia, elevated BUN, frequent urination, visual disturbances, tinnitus, increased total cholesterol, increased triglycerides, tongue discoloration, palpitations, menstrual irregularities, fatigue, weight loss
