Precautions

This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as the included Cyperi component may pose risks of miscarriage or premature birth. Patients with hypertension, heart or kidney problems, and those with swelling should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. It is also important for those taking other medications or receiving treatment to consult with a professional. Elderly individuals should be cautious as bodily functions may weaken and dosage adjustments may be necessary. For children, the safety of this medication has not been sufficiently confirmed, so they should consult with a professional before use. If there is a decrease in urine output, swelling of the face, hands, or feet, heavy eyelids, stiffness in the hands, increased blood pressure, or headaches while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately, and a professional should be consulted. This could be a sign of hyperaldosteronism caused by the licorice ingredient. Additionally, symptoms such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis may be signs of myopathy due to hypokalemia and should prompt immediate discontinuation and consultation with a professional. If symptoms do not improve after one month of use, discontinue and consult a professional. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed usage and dosage, and when taking other herbal medicines, be mindful of overlapping ingredients. Taking potassium or licorice-containing medications or certain diuretics together may lead to hyperaldosteronism or hypokalemia, necessitating careful administration. For storage, keep away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place, and ensure that the container is sealed after use. It is also very important to store this medication out of reach of children. Transferring medication from its original container to another can risk quality degradation or misuse, so it should be kept in its original container, tightly closed.
