Additionally, patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication should not receive it. Patients with corneal epithelial erosion or ulcers, as well as those with tuberculous or purulent eye diseases, should be cautious as this medication may worsen symptoms or lead to corneal perforation. Care should also be taken when using it in glaucoma patients and infants under 2 years of age. Long-term use of this medication may lead to increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, optic nerve damage, and reduced vision, so regular intraocular pressure checks are necessary. Infections such as herpes simplex keratitis or fungal keratitis may occur, and caution is needed when using on corneal ulcers or trauma sites due to the risk of perforation. There is also a possibility of cataracts developing with prolonged use, so caution is advised. Immune function may be suppressed, increasing the risk of secondary infections, and untreated acute eye infections may worsen. Additionally, if eye inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 48 hours, the use should be stopped immediately and a doctor consulted. If wearing contact lenses, they should be removed before using this medication and can be reinserted at least 30 minutes afterwards. Ocular instillation may cause temporary blurring of vision, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. Patients at risk for infections such as chickenpox or measles should check their history and vaccination status before using this medication and pay special attention to infection prevention. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should avoid long-term use, and nursing mothers should avoid using this medication, and if necessary, should discontinue breastfeeding during its use. Children and elderly patients should be particularly cautious when using this medication. This medication is for ocular use only and care should be taken to avoid direct contact of the container tip with the eye. Shake well before use, and it is advised not to share it with others.
