Precautions

This medication may cause diarrhea, loose stools, dry mouth, and fatigue during treatment. Liver function may be affected, so if liver enzyme levels rise or symptoms of jaundice appear, stop taking the medication and see a doctor immediately. Additionally, hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes, hives, and swelling may occur, so caution is needed if such symptoms appear. Blood tests may show increased eosinophils or decreased white blood cells, and gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and taste disturbances have also been reported. Symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, dizziness, headaches, and tremors may also occur, so caution is advised. If gastrointestinal symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for more than two weeks, long-term use is not recommended. This medication may be less effective when taken with anticholinergic agents, so when taking both medications together, it is important to space out the dosages and proceed with caution. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a doctor before taking this medication, and if breastfeeding, it is advisable to avoid taking this medication or to discontinue breastfeeding as it may pass into breast milk. Safety has not been established for use in children, so its use is not recommended. Elderly patients may have reduced kidney and liver function, so their condition should be closely monitored and the dosage adjusted if necessary. The medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container may compromise quality, so caution is advised. Animal studies have reported a possibility of tumors in the liver and thyroid with prolonged high-dose administration, so long-term use should be done cautiously under a doctor's direction.
