Dosage and Administration
Adult dosage
Adults: Administer 50mg of pinaverium bromide per dose, 3 times daily with meals and plenty of water. Adjust the dose as appropriate according to age and symptoms.
Precautions
This medication should not be used in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so patients with a genetic disorder that prevents lactose digestion should not take it. This medication contains the dye Yellow No. 5, so those who have experienced allergic reactions to this component should use it with caution. While using it, there may rarely be mild digestive discomfort or minor gastrointestinal disturbances. Taking too much of this medication can cause symptoms such as diarrhea or abdominal discomfort, so caution is advised. Lastly, it is recommended to avoid taking this medication with certain antidepressants known as MAO inhibitors.
