Particularly with long-term use, rare but serious side effects such as weak bone fractures or jaw necrosis may occur; if symptoms manifest, consult a doctor immediately. This medication may interfere with the absorption of calcium supplements or antacids; therefore, a minimum interval of at least 30 minutes should be maintained between them. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this medication, and safety and efficacy in children or adolescents under 18 years have not been established.
