Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply an appropriate amount thinly to the affected area (diseased area) 2 to 3 times a day depending on the size of the affected area and the extent of exudate. This drug can be alternated with creams or liquids (e.g., using powder in the morning and cream or liquid in the evening).

Precautions

This drug should not be used by those who have had an allergic reaction to this drug or its ingredients, or to imidazole derivatives. Serious side effects such as angioedema, severe allergic reactions, hypotension, syncope, and respiratory distress can occur when using this drug; therefore, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary if such symptoms appear. Various skin reactions may occur, such as blisters, rashes, hives, itching, tingling, and red spots, so caution is needed. If there is irritation or discomfort at the application site, use should be discontinued immediately, and appropriate treatment should be sought; any unexpected adverse reactions should be reported to a doctor or pharmacist. To achieve the intended therapeutic effects, do not stop using the drug in the middle of treatment even if symptoms improve; continue treatment after consulting with a physician. This drug is for topical application and is absorbed minimally into the body, so the possibility of systemic side effects is very low. If a dose is missed, use only the prescribed amount at the next scheduled time, and be careful not to overuse. Towels, clothing, socks, etc., that come into contact with the affected area should be changed daily to maintain cleanliness, and before treatment, the affected area should be washed clean and thoroughly dried. If there is no response to this drug, additional tests to confirm the presence of a fungal infection should be conducted and other treatment methods should be considered. Do not use occlusive dressings or packaging methods without a doctor's instruction. When there is a candidal infection, it is better to avoid using acidic soaps. The effects of this drug on driving or operating machinery are not known. This drug may reduce the effectiveness of other antifungals when used topically, so caution is needed if used in conjunction with them. During pregnancy, it should be used according to a doctor's diagnosis and instructions; although no major problems were found in animal studies, pregnant women should use it with caution. It can also be used during breastfeeding, but if applied to the nipple area, it should be washed clean before breastfeeding. The risk of acute toxicity is low in case of overuse or careless ingestion, but caution is necessary as there are no specific antidotes. This drug is only for topical use on the skin and care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer to other containers.
