Precautions

This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as it can cause uterine contractions or congestion of pelvic organs, leading to the risk of premature birth or miscarriage. Women who are breastfeeding should avoid this medication since the ingredients can pass into breast milk, potentially causing diarrhea in the infant; either use the medication with caution or discontinue breastfeeding. Persons with lactose intolerance or certain genetic disorders should not take this medication due to the lactose contained in it. Symptoms may worsen if taken with other antidiarrheal medications, so you should not use other antidiarrheal medications while taking this medication. Individuals with hypertension, heart or kidney diseases, edema, the elderly, those taking other medications, or those with diarrhea symptoms or weak stomachs should consult an expert before taking this medication. Those experiencing loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, physical weakness, excessive sweating, a history of heart-related diseases, bladder dysfunction, hyperthyroidism, or prior allergic reactions to this medication should exercise caution. If symptoms such as face or limb swelling, increased blood pressure, headache, muscle weakness, loss of appetite, vomiting, abdominal pain, skin rash, insomnia, palpitations, urinary problems, or liver function abnormalities appear, discontinue taking the medication and consult an expert immediately. If symptoms do not improve after taking the medication for more than a month, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider. It is recommended not to take this medication for an extended period; if prolonged use is necessary, it should only be done under professional guidance. Long-term use of irritant laxatives can increase drug tolerance and worsen constipation; therefore, do not continue use for more than a week, and if you need daily laxatives, seek to identify the cause. Adhere closely to the prescribed usage and dosage, particularly because the effects of the rhubarb ingredient can vary from person to person. When using this medication in conjunction with other herbal products, ensure there are no overlapping ingredients, and take caution if combined with products containing rhubarb. Taking this medication with ephedra, ephedrine, MAO inhibitors, thyroid medications, catecholamines, or xanthine drugs may cause side effects such as palpitations, insomnia, and excessive sweating, so dosage should be reduced or used carefully. Care should be taken when used with potassium-containing drugs, medication containing glycyrrhiza, or specific diuretics, as this can lead to hypokalemia and muscle weakness. Store this medication in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and in a secure location out of reach of children. Also, keep it in its original container to prevent misuse or deterioration in quality.
