Individuals with high blood pressure, elderly patients, or those with heart or kidney issues or body edema must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If during medication, there is a decrease in urine output, swelling of the face, hands, or feet, heaviness of the eyelids, stiffness of the hands, elevated blood pressure, or headaches, the medication should be discontinued immediately and a doctor or pharmacist consulted. Prolonged use of this medication may lead to symptoms such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, fluid retention, edema, and weight gain, so regular monitoring of blood potassium levels is necessary, and if abnormalities are found, use should be stopped. In cases of muscle weakness, limb cramping, or paralysis due to hypokalemia, usage should also be stopped, and a consultation with a professional is advised. Taking potassium-containing preparations, licorice, or certain diuretics may increase the likelihood of these side effects, so caution is needed.
