If during use there is a decrease in urine output, swelling of the face, hands or feet, heaviness of the eyelids, stiffness of the hands, an increase in blood pressure, or headache, immediate discontinuation and consulting a healthcare professional is advised. Long-term use of this medication may lead to symptoms such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, sodium and fluid retention causing swelling and weight gain; therefore, it is necessary to regularly check potassium levels in the blood and discontinue use if abnormalities occur. Hypokalemia may cause muscle weakness, limb cramps, and paralysis, so if these symptoms arise, immediate discontinuation of the medication is required. Care should be taken when taking this medication in conjunction with potassium-containing drugs, licorice-containing drugs, or certain diuretics, as this increases the risk of the aforementioned side effects. When using this medication over a long duration, be cautious as side effects such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, and fluid retention may occur. When storing, keep in a tightly sealed container away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place, and do not transfer to another container to maintain quality.
