Precautions

This medication contains lactose (lactose hydrate), so individuals with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Those with high blood pressure, elderly patients, individuals with heart or kidney issues, those with body swelling, and those currently receiving medical treatment should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as decreased urine output, swelling of the face or limbs, a heavy feeling in the eyelids, stiffness in the hands, increased blood pressure, or headaches occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Additionally, long-term use of this medication containing licorice in excess of a certain daily amount may cause hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, edema due to fluid retention, and weight gain; therefore, potassium levels should be regularly monitored through blood tests, and if abnormalities are detected, use should be discontinued. Muscle weakness, limb spasms, or paralysis due to hypokalemia may occur, so if these symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Caution is necessary when taking this medication with potassium-containing preparations, licorice-containing drugs, loop diuretics, or thiazide diuretics, as hypokalemia and muscle diseases may easily occur.
