Individuals with high blood pressure, elderly persons, those with heart or kidney function issues, individuals with edema, and those currently receiving medical treatment must consult with a doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine. If during the course of taking this medicine the urine volume decreases or the face or limbs swell, eyelids become heavy, hands become stiff, blood pressure increases, or headaches occur, stop taking it immediately and consult a specialist. Since it contains licorice, long-term use may cause side effects such as hypokalemia, hypertension, fluid retention, edema, and weight gain. Therefore, potassium levels in the blood should be checked regularly, and if there are any abnormalities, discontinue use. Hypokalemia may lead to muscle weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis; if these symptoms occur, stop taking the medicine and consult medical personnel. There may be risks to liver function, so if symptoms such as fatigue, loss of appetite, jaundice, nausea, vomiting, severe upper abdominal pain, or dark urine appear, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. During the use of this medicine, if potassium or licorice-containing drugs or certain diuretics are taken together, the risk of side effects may increase, so caution is advised. If an allergic reaction occurs, such as rash or hives, stop taking it immediately. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as loss of appetite, discomfort in the stomach, nausea, and diarrhea may occur, so be cautious. This medicine should be used considering the patient's constitution and symptoms, and if symptoms do not improve after taking it, do not continue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take this medicine if the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. In children, as safety has not been sufficiently confirmed, caution is needed in use. In the elderly, as physiological functions may be diminished, careful use including dosage reduction is advisable. Finally, this medicine may exacerbate dermatitis or eczema symptoms, so monitor skin condition closely.
