How it is given

Adult administration

As Diclofenac Beta-Dimethylaminoethanol, inject 90 mg deeply into one side of the upper buttock daily. In severe cases, 90 mg can be administered twice daily, alternating injections between both sides of the buttock. After the initial treatment phase, it can be changed to tablet or suppository forms. Dosages should be adjusted appropriately based on age, disease, and symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, use the minimal effective dose for the shortest duration.

Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a physician or pharmacist if the patient regularly consumes three or more alcoholic beverages a day, as it may result in gastrointestinal bleeding. Patients with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors should be cautious as this drug may cause serious cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke during use. Elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal disorders should be particularly careful as this drug may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation. Due to the potential for allergic reactions that may affect the heart, immediate medical attention should be sought if chest pain or allergic symptoms occur. Care should be taken to avoid glass fragmentation when breaking the ampoule injection, particularly when administering to children and the elderly. Products containing benzyl alcohol may pose risks to premature or newborn infants, so this medication should not be administered to infants under 4 weeks of age or premature babies. Patients with specific diseases such as peptic ulcers, severe blood disorders, liver dysfunction, renal dysfunction, hypertension, or heart failure should not take this medication. Individuals with asthma or aspirin allergies must consult a physician before using this medication, as severe allergic reactions can occur. Long-term use of this medication requires regular blood tests and liver and kidney function evaluations; if any unusual symptoms appear, use should be discontinued immediately and medical advice sought. Avoid use during pregnancy, especially in the later stages, as it may pose risks to the fetus, and women of childbearing potential should use it cautiously. Breastfeeding women should discontinue nursing or the medication, as it may pass into breast milk and potentially affect the infant. Elderly individuals and children should be particularly cautious of adverse reactions when taking this medication and should use the minimal effective dose judiciously. Co-administration with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may increase the risk of side effects, so it is generally advised not to combine medications. When combined with antihypertensive drugs, diuretics, anticoagulants, etc., interactions may lead to side effects, so consultation with a healthcare professional is necessary.
