Improvement of gastroesophageal reflux and gastrointestinal disorders (abdominal pain, dyspepsia), relief of irritable bowel syndrome, treatment of vomiting in children, etc.
This medication improves digestive symptoms caused by gastroesophageal reflux and hiatal hernia, as well as abdominal pain, dyspepsia, nausea, and vomiting due to inflammation and ulcers in the stomach and duodenum. It is also effective for intestinal dysfunction caused by irritable bowel syndrome and spastic colon. In children, it helps alleviate symptoms of constipation or diarrhea associated with habitual vomiting and non-infectious gastrointestinal pain and disorders. Overall, it is used for improving digestive function and alleviating gastrointestinal disease symptoms.
For adults, Trimebutine Maleate 100-200 mg should be taken orally three times a day before meals. It should be adjusted appropriately according to age and symptoms.
This medication contains lactose, therefore individuals with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. While taking this medication, gastrointestinal-related side effects such as constipation, diarrhea, abdominal sounds, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, dry mouth, and a numb feeling in the mouth may occasionally occur. Rarely, cardiovascular side effects such as palpitations may occur. Mentally, symptoms such as fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headache may also occur rarely. In relation to liver function, a temporary increase in liver enzyme levels has been reported rarely. Allergic reactions, such as skin rashes, may occur, so if such symptoms arise, the use of the medication should be discontinued and a consultation with a physician is recommended. The safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been sufficiently established; therefore, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take it when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks. Lactating women should also avoid taking this medication due to the unclear safety profile, and if it is necessary to take it, it is advisable to stop breastfeeding.

This medication is sensitive to air and moisture, so it should be stored in a tightly sealed container. Additionally, it is safe to store it at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius, avoiding excessively hot or cold places.
