Relief of gastrointestinal symptoms such as stomach pain and heartburn
This medication is primarily used to relieve gastrointestinal symptoms such as stomach pain, heartburn, indigestion, and nausea.
Adults (15 years and older, under 80 years) should take 2 tablets at a time, and if symptoms are not relieved after more than 5 hours, take another 2 tablets. However, do not exceed 4 tablets per day.
This medication should not be administered to patients with blood disorders, kidney or liver diseases, gastric or duodenal disorders, asthma, or immune system diseases such as rheumatism. Caution should be exercised as this medicine may cause side effects such as a decrease in white blood cells or platelets when taken with steroids, antibiotics, antineoplastic agents, or azole antifungals. Patients with a history of blood abnormalities such as anemia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia may experience further reduction in blood cell counts while taking this medication, so it is best to avoid its use. Individuals who are hypersensitive to H2-histamine receptor antagonists should not use this medication as allergy reactions may occur. Children under 15 years of age and the elderly over 80 years of age should avoid using this medication where safety has not been established or due to potential increased potency from renal insufficiency, unless used with caution. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as breastfeeding women, are advised not to take this medicine, and nursing mothers should stop breastfeeding when taking it. Patients undergoing dialysis should also avoid using this medication for safety. This medication contains lactose, so patients with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, lactose deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. This medicine may interact with other drugs, so patients in consultation with a physician or those taking other medications should use it with caution. Individuals with a history of drug hypersensitivity should also take care while using it. Elderly patients over 65 years should be cautious as drug reactions may vary based on individual health conditions. Patients with symptoms such as sore throat, cough, or high fever should exercise caution as these may indicate severe infections, which could worsen with this medication. Patients with unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain should consult with a professional before using this medication as there could be other underlying conditions. This medication contains a coloring agent called Yellow No. 5; therefore, individuals allergic or hypersensitive to this component should use it cautiously. During use, side effects such as rash, itching, swelling, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, and muscle pain may occur. If any of these symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. If symptoms such as sudden chest tightness, pale appearance, cold hands and feet, cold sweat, or shortness of breath occur after taking it, seek medical attention immediately. If severe symptoms such as rash with high fever, blisters, or severe mucosal symptoms in the mouth and throat appear, discontinue use of the medication immediately and receive treatment. If symptoms of sore throat, fever, malaise, whitening of the inner eyelids and face, or easy bleeding occur, promptly consult medical personnel. If jaundice symptoms appear, discontinue the medication immediately and notify your doctor. If symptoms do not improve after three days of use, there may be other underlying conditions, so discontinue use and consult with a professional. Do not use for more than two weeks, and avoid alcohol while taking this medication. Be careful not to exceed the prescribed dosage, and if an overdose occurs, stop taking it immediately and consult with a professional. Do not use for symptoms that do not match its efficacy. Patients with a history of kidney disease should consult a professional before use. The antacid ingredients in this medication may interfere with the absorption of certain antibiotics, so it is advisable not to use it alongside tetracycline antibiotics or new quinolone antibacterial agents. Additionally, avoiding concomitant use with other gastrointestinal medications is recommended as excessive effects may lead to side effects. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperatures, and kept in a cool, dry place. For quality protection, it is safer not to transfer it to other containers.
