Relief of eczema, dermatitis (skin itching, etc.) and skin irritation symptoms
This ointment, cream, and lotion are used for eczema and dermatitis, as well as for skin itching and insect bites. The aerosol formulation is also used for eczema and dermatitis, insect bites, as well as temporary relief from skin irritation symptoms caused by poison ivy, oak, soap, detergent, cosmetics, jewelry, and genital and anal itching. These medications effectively manage various skin irritations and inflammation to improve symptoms.
Shake well before use and apply an appropriate amount to the affected area (area of disease) 1 to 3 times a day, adjusting dosage as needed according to symptoms.
This medication is a topical steroid used to reduce inflammation in the skin and relieve itching. However, it should not be used if there is an infection of the skin caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals, as it may worsen the symptoms. It is also safe not to administer this drug to those allergic to this drug or its components, those with ear inflammation with a perforated eardrum, ulcers, severe burns or frostbite, dermatitis around the mouth, common acne, rosacea, or non-inflammatory itching. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, young children, especially infants under 2 years old, and the elderly should use this medication with extra caution. Side effects such as skin infection or irritation, rashes, itching, skin dryness, swelling, folliculitis may occur while using this medicine, and if these symptoms appear, it should be stopped immediately and a doctor consulted. Long-term or extensive area use may cause changes such as thinning skin or dilation of blood vessels, so care is needed. This medication can have systemic effects, leading to rare but serious side effects such as pituitary-adrenal suppression, weight gain, increased blood sugar, hypertension, osteoporosis, cataracts, and glaucoma, so periodic examinations may be necessary. Particularly when used around the eyes, caution is needed as it can cause increased intraocular pressure and glaucoma, and if vision changes occur, immediate ophthalmological treatment should be sought. This medication is recommended for use only for a short duration of 7 days, and it should be discontinued as soon as symptoms improve. Pregnant or nursing women should consider the potential effects on the fetus or infant and use the minimum duration and dosage, and care should be taken not to apply this medication to the breast area while nursing. In children, because the skin is thinner and may absorb the drug more, long-term use should be avoided, and additional caution should be exercised in the diaper-wearing area. Elderly individuals also have a higher risk of side effects, so careful observation is necessary during high-dosage or long-term use. Overuse of this medication can result in systemic side effects, so it should be used exactly as directed by a doctor, and any misuse should be reported to medical staff immediately. This medication should not be applied directly to the eyes, and it is advisable not to use it on the skin after makeup or shaving. Any special usage method, such as occlusive dressing, must be followed according to a doctor’s instructions, and it is safer not to use it on the facial area for extended periods. After use, store in a place out of reach of children, and in patients with psoriasis, care should be taken as long-term high-dose use may worsen the skin condition.
