This medication is used to improve symptoms of blood circulation disorders such as ulcers, pain, and cold sensation due to chronic arterial occlusion. It is also effective in preventing recurrence after a cerebral infarct. Thus, it helps relieve ischemic symptoms related to blood vessels and prevents recurrence of cerebral infarcts, enhancing the patient's health.

How to take

Adult dose

As cilostazol, the usual adult dosage is 100mg orally twice a day. Adjustments may be made based on age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication may cause an increase in heart rate, which could pose a risk of angina symptoms, so it is crucial to closely monitor for anginal symptoms such as chest pain. It should not be used in patients at risk of bleeding, such as those with hemophilia, recent hemorrhagic strokes, or active peptic ulcers. It is also advisable not to administer this medication to patients with symptoms of heart failure, as it may exacerbate their symptoms. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and lactating women should not use this medication.
