Treatment of allergic and inflammatory skin diseases (eczema, contact dermatitis, etc.) and first-degree burns
This medicine is used for allergic or inflammatory skin diseases accompanied by secondary infections, such as eczema, contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, photodermatitis, chronic simple eczema, scratch dermatitis, scaling dermatitis, itching, psoriasis (dry scales), and is also effective in treating first-degree burns. Therefore, it is a medication that helps with various skin inflammatory and infectious conditions as well as mild burn treatment.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area (diseased area) 1 to 3 times a day.
This medication should not be used by individuals with specific infections. For instance, those with bacterial infections such as tuberculosis or syphilis, fungal infections like candidiasis or tinea, viral infections including herpes zoster or herpes simplex, or animal skin infections such as scabies or lice may worsen if this medicine is used. Additionally, individuals who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients, or have shown hypersensitivity in the past, should not use it. Patients with eczema of the outer ear with a perforated eardrum should also avoid this medication as it can delay healing. Patients with skin ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite should also beware, as skin regeneration may be hindered, leading to delayed treatment. It is recommended not to use this medication for individuals with dermatitis around the mouth or common acne, rosacea dermatitis. Those with hypersensitivity to aminoglycoside antibiotics or bacitracin should avoid using this medication. This product contains an ingredient called propylene glycol, so individuals allergic or hypersensitive to this component should use it with caution. Women who are pregnant, possibly pregnant, or breastfeeding, as well as children or adolescents, should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. If any symptoms such as infections of the skin, folliculitis, itching, rash, dry skin, color change of the skin occur while using this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Long-term use may lead to side effects such as skin thinning, pigment change, and telangiectasia, so caution is needed. As this medication contains corticosteroids, extensive use or use under occlusive dressings for a prolonged period may lead to systemic side effects, so particular care is required. Caution should be taken when used around the eyes as it may increase intraocular pressure or risk of glaucoma. Patients with poor kidney function or hearing loss should avoid long-term use of this medication. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly adhered to, and children should use it under parental guidance. Additionally, excessive long-term use of this medication can suppress the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, leading to Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycemia, diabetes, etc., so regular check-ups may be necessary. The treatment duration varies based on symptoms, but if there is no improvement after 3-4 weeks of use, it may indicate another condition, so it is advisable to discontinue use and consult a professional. Once symptoms improve, it is recommended to cease use as soon as possible. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes and should not be used for non-treatment purposes after cosmetics or shaving. When using occlusive dressings, it must be done under a doctor's supervision, and the affected area should be cleaned before application. Finally, store this product out of reach of children, and keep it tightly sealed in its original container. Transferring it to another container may pose a risk of misuse or degradation in quality.
