Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections as symptoms may worsen. Patients allergic to this medication or its components should not use it. Patients with eczematous otitis externa who have a perforated eardrum should be careful as healing may be delayed. Patients with skin ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite should not use this medication as skin regeneration may be inhibited, delaying healing. Patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea should avoid using this medication. Patients with hypersensitivity to aminoglycoside antibiotics or bacitracin should avoid this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should consult healthcare professionals before using this medication. When used in children or juveniles, caregiver guidance and supervision are required. If any abnormal symptoms such as skin infections, irritation, rashes, pruritus, skin discoloration, etc., occur, use should be immediately discontinued and medical consultation sought. Long-term use may result in side effects such as skin atrophy, capillary dilation, and pigmentation changes, so caution is advised. This medication can be absorbed systemically, which may cause side effects such as pituitary-adrenal suppression, Cushing's syndrome, and hyperglycemia; therefore, regular testing is necessary, especially when used extensively or with occlusive dressings. Care should be taken when using around the eyes as there is a risk of elevated intraocular pressure and glaucoma. Long-term use may result in fungal infections; if symptoms develop, use should be discontinued and appropriate treatment should be sought. Patients with impaired kidney function or hearing problems should avoid long-term use of this medication. Dosage and duration of use must be strictly adhered to, and once symptoms improve, use should be stopped as soon as possible. It is recommended to avoid excessive use or long-term use and occlusive dressings. This medication can cause hypersensitivity reactions, so if redness, swelling, or small blisters develop, use should be immediately stopped. Pregnant and nursing mothers need to carefully consider the risks and benefits of using this medication; if necessary, breastfeeding should be suspended or medication administration should be discontinued. Children are more prone to side effects than adults and should use the minimal amount necessary. Prolonged or excessive use can result in adrenal suppression and systemic side effects like Cushing's syndrome, so tapering off should be done gradually. In psoriasis patients, excessive long-term use may lead to psoriatic erythroderma or pustular psoriasis, so caution is necessary. This medication contains propylene glycol, so patients allergic to this component should be cautious. Vision impairment may occur; thus, if blurred vision or other visual abnormalities arise, consultation with an ophthalmologist is necessary. Local corticosteroid withdrawal syndrome may occur, so if symptoms recur, careful consideration of medication use is required. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes, and should not be used after makeup or shaving for non-treatment purposes. Occlusive dressings should be used under medical supervision, and the affected area should be cleaned beforehand to reduce the risk of infection. Keep out of reach of children and store in the original container for safety.
