To promote osteoporosis or fracture healing, the supply of calcium and phosphorus is necessary. Additionally, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, adequate intake of calcium and phosphorus is crucial for the health of the mother and fetus or newborn. In both cases, it helps maintain bone health and growth, strengthening the skeleton and supporting normal physiological functions.

How to take

Adult dose

Osteoporosis: As an ossopan substance, the adult dose is 1660∼3320 mg once, twice a day. Other indications: As this medication, the adult dose is 830∼1660 mg once a day. Take before meals with a beverage.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia or sarcoidosis, or by those with kidney disease. Patients with a history of kidney stones or severely impaired kidney function should also refrain from using this medication. Individuals with allergies to the ingredients in this medication or infants under 12 months old should avoid it. While taking this medication, it is advisable not to concurrently use tetracycline antibiotics, phosphates, calcium salts, or antacids, and to space them at least 4 hours apart. Teas containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, should be avoided before and after taking this medication. Patients who are currently receiving treatment, have mobility issues, or have heart or circulatory diseases, kidney problems, or a tendency to develop kidney stones should consult with their doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Caution is also necessary for those taking high doses of vitamin D or certain diuretics, sodium fluoride, aldosterone antagonists, etc. If symptoms such as constipation, hypotension, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, nausea, vomiting, or skin rashes occur during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult healthcare professionals. This medication must be strictly adhered to in terms of dosage and administration, especially in children, where supervision by a guardian is required. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after 1 month of taking the medication, consult healthcare professionals. Store this medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a dry, cool place. Additionally, it should be avoided to transfer the medication to another container, as this could lead to quality degradation or misuse risks. This medication contains specific dyes, so patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to these components should use it cautiously.
