Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients with inflammatory fever. Since this medicine contains lactose, individuals with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Patients with nutritional disorders in children or those with symptoms of damp-heat should use this medicine with caution. The glycyrrhizin component in this medicine can lead to symptoms similar to aldosterone activation, such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, edema, and weight gain due to sodium and fluid retention if taken in excess of 40mg per day or for a long time. It is recommended to dissolve it in hot water and only drink the upper liquid during consumption. This medicine should be stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture, and must be kept sealed after use. To preserve quality and prevent misuse, it is important not to transfer it to another container. Patients with high blood pressure, elderly patients, patients with heart or kidney disorders, patients with edema, or those receiving treatment from a doctor should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. If symptoms such as decreased urine output, facial or limb swelling, heavy eyelids, rigidity in the hands, increased blood pressure, or headache occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult medical personnel. Long-term use may lead to symptoms such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, and edema, so serum potassium levels should be regularly checked, and if there are abnormalities, usage should be discontinued. If symptoms of muscular disease due to hypokalemia, such as weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis occur, the use should be stopped immediately. When taken with potassium-containing agents, licorice-containing agents, glycyrrhizin or its salts, loop diuretics (e.g., furosemide or ethacrynic acid), or thiazide diuretics (e.g., trichlormethiazide), the risk of hypokalemia and muscular disease may increase, so caution is advised.
